You can just hear the Andy Williams song playing in your head as you scroll through the Amazon Prime Day deals, looking to snag great items at a fraction of their regular price-it’s basically like Christmas in July! In fact, it’s a great time to do some early Christmas shopping! Just don’t forget where you hid these presents, come December…
Be prepared for your newsfeed to blow up with deals that people found!
Amazon Prime members get a sneak peek at the deals a day early, and can start filling up their carts in anticipation of the stroke of midnight (PT). I’ve compiled a list of great items and divided them by category for your viewing pleasure, complete with links to each product.
Kitchen/Cooking
- Instapot-this is an annual Prime Day deal that cooking enthusiasts and busy parents alike, snap up. There are tons of Facebook groups, Pinterest pins, and cooking bloggers that all share recipes to help make dinner prep a breeze.
- Air Fryer-this has been a hot trend in recent years, and many love the appliance because it allows them to indulge in their favorite foods, guilt-free.
Beauty/Self Care
- Clarisonic is rumored to be 30% off the original price and that little handheld gadget is a cult favorite!
Electronics/Entertainment
- Amazon is offering a $25 savings on their FireTV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote paired with an Echo for $49.99-if you’ve been wanting one, now’s the time to scoop it up and start streaming all of the shows your friends have been recommending!
- If you do some heavy damage with your Prime Day shopping, you can bet your doorstep is going to be flooded with boxes in a few days! Make sure you protect your purchases by installing a Ring doorbell so you can catch potential porch pirates in the act! This Prime Day deal includes a Ring Video Doorbell Pro and Amazon Echo Dot for $169.99 and is an exclusive offer for Prime members only.
- Looking for a DVR? The Fire TV Recast is on sale for $129.99 during Prime Day.
- If you’ve been wanting a drone for photography purposes, now’s your chance! This Prime Day launch is already the #1 new release in their arsenal and I have a feeling it might sell out fast. There appears to be an additional $10 coupon, so snag a few and tuck them away for Christmas gifts and you’ll be the best Santa in the family.
Pets
- Raise your hand if your fur baby is treated just like family! Amazon is doing a Prime Day launch of the Petcube Bites 2, it’s a pet camera with a built-in treat dispenser. What?! You can spoil fido from afar!
Kids
- Amazon recently partnered with Hanna Anderson to make their own line of kids’ pajamas, called Moon and Back. I don’t know about your kids, but mine seem to have outgrown their pajamas overnight and need a refresh. They have super cute patterns in really soft organic cotton. They range in size from 6 months to 5T and offer everything from onesies to sleep gowns to bibs, burp cloths, and blankets. They’re awesome baby shower gifts if you have any expectant friends. Definitely adding to cart!
Guys
- When my husband landed his first job out of school, I surprised him with a Briggs and Riley bag to carry to work. It’s been 13 years and the bag is still holding strong! They also have an awesome warranty. This is a great gift for father’s day, graduation, or birthdays and is included in Prime Day!
A few tips:
- If you’re looking for a deal on a TV, the 2019 models may be discounted, but you’re better off getting the 2018 model because chances are that it will be a great Prime Day deal. Do your research so that you know what has changed from the earlier model.
- Laptops and computers often have the biggest discount around back-to-school time, so if your computer can hold off giving you the blue screen of death for a few more weeks, it’ll be worth the wait.
- Be careful purchasing from third-party sellers. Some tend to jack up the price of their items to reflect what appears to be a big discount when in reality they’re just taking advantage of trigger-happy shoppers.
